Karim Haroun

Hello everyone, and welcome to my webpage! My name is Karim Haroun, I am a Machine Learning scientist. My research focuses on frugal ML algorithms through neural network compression, in particular sparse learning and quantization. Additionally, I am interested in more formalized research to better understand ML models. I have recently dived into modular deep learning and neural architecture growth using insights from geometry, information theory and optimal transport. Moreover, I am a strong believer in open science and an advocator of open source software. When bored, I happen to pick my classical guitar and forget about this mad world.
